NHSCPO: Noblesville High School Choir Parent Organization
Welcome Letter
Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new school year and to the Noblesville High School Choir Department! It’s wonderful to be back as we begin a new year together. As parents or guardians of a choir student, you are automatically members of NHSCPO. The NHS Choir Parent Organization is a non-profit organization that exists to support the Choir Department directors and students (similar to a sports team booster club).
Please support you student and the choir department by doing the following:
Complete and return all forms located in the handbook and fill out the district background check by Friday August 18, 2023
Note: The corporation requires all parents to complete a Level 3 background check to work with students. It costs $18.95, but is now valid for six years.

Sign up for a committee or as an event volunteer
All parents (and other family members!) are encouraged to chaperone or join a committee. You are truly needed! Watch your email and social media for volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
All families are expected to fill at least two chaperone and/or volunteer shifts throughout the year (ex: chaperone one concert plus serve one shift sewing costume alterations). Show choir families must also volunteer two shifts for the Indiana Show Choir Championships, hosted at NHS.
Families may opt-out of volunteer requirements by paying a $100 fee to NHSCPO. Any family who does not meet volunteer requirements must pay this fee. Parent volunteers are what keep our program afloat.
Chaperone a concert or competition
Without chaperones, these events cannot be held. Chaperones will be able to slip into the auditorium to watch their student perform at events they chaperone.
Attend our semi-annual all parent NHSCPO meetings in August and May
Stay informed of upcoming concerts and events
Follow us on social media, visit the choir website, and watch for email newsletters and updates. Talk with your child on a regular basis about what is going on in choir. Information will sometimes come home through the directors.
